Then there is a horrific disaster at the ball…🎄 I adored writing this and have included an interesting character called Seraphina who is a seer. A witch! Her story is very losely inspired by Helen Duncan a clairvoyant at the time who was imprisoned on suspicion of spying. In celebration of Queenies life 2009-2025

Last week God took Queenie in his arms. The most loving cat, she filled my home with joy for the 16 years I was blessed with her. When I was 21 and living in Streatham my neighbour said “I have a bathroom full of kittens!”. An hour later I’d adopted Tarquin. Decided he was lonely then picked up his sister the week after. I named her Queenie after Queen Elizabeth II. She looked like a bumblebee and sometimes Gizmo from the Gremlins. A timid and unsure girl at first, but came out of her shell in midlife and it was a delight to love her little character.

Queenie liked;
Sitting next to mummy- Not on!- Next to.
Sitting on everything else- including wire hangers (comfy choice)
Watching melodrama on TV
Helping the NSPCC stair climb challenge!
Licking condensation off windows (sophisticated lady)
Wolfing tuna with zeal
Her little safe-space box
Squeaking as she snored
Surprising her brother behind a door
Looking down on you through bannisters
Squirming in the sunshine on the roof
Cuddling mummy’s elbow at night

I will hold you in my heart forever. Mummy misses you darling ♥️

What a ball we had @58thstreetofficial ! A divine six course menu, exquisite music and of course the highlight was @missbetsyrose. They even struck up a New Orleans style second line - conga around the venue! It’s not to be missed ❤️

I will be going to the opera in my wedding dress on Monday for my 1st anniversary and wish we all had a big box together 💖💐 love you all!
